There will be no after school on Tuesday May 5, 2026 ! After school programming will resume on Wednesday May 6, 2026.
Starting Friday, May 22, 2026, and continuing through the end of the school year, all students must be picked up at the regular dismissal time of 2:45 p.m.
- The last day of school for Grades K–7 is Thursday, June 4, 2026.
- The last day of school for Pre‑K is Wednesday, June 3, 2026.
End‑of‑year testing for Grades K–8 will begin next week and continue through the end of the school year. It is very important that students arrive on time each day so that testing can begin promptly. Consistent attendance and punctuality help ensure that students complete their assessments without interruption.
Graduation Fee Reminder (KDG & 8th Grade)
All graduation fees are due this week by Friday, May 1, 2026. If fees are not paid by the deadline, a $25.00 late fee will be added to the student’s remaining balance. Please remember that all fees must be paid online, as Brunson is a cash‑free school.
Breakfast & Snack Expectations
It is important that students arrive at school having eaten a school‑provided or appropriate breakfast. Healthy eating helps students stay focused, energized, and ready to learn. These expectations help us maintain a healthy and safe environment for all students. Please note the following:
- Unhealthy snacks during breakfast or lunch will not be allowed.
- Students should not bring large‑sized snacks or large bottles of juice to school.
- Snacks and drinks brought from home should be small, single‑serving sizes only.
Uniform Policy Reminder
Please remember that Brunson is a uniform school, and all students are required to follow the uniform code every day. Wearing a school uniform helps students stay focused on learning and supports a sense of discipline. (See back for additional information on uniform policy)
Brunson School Uniform
Footwear
- Slides and flip‑flops are not allowed
- If students wear Crocs, the back strap must be worn in “sport mode” at all times
- If Crocs do not have a functional back strap, students must wear an alternative shoe
Wearing the correct uniform daily is the best way to ensure your child is not in violation of Brunson’s Uniform Policy.
Thank you for your cooperation and continued support as we move into the final weeks of the school year. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us.
Sincerely,
Ms. LaToya Woods - Principal
